I got this guy as a gift to myself and love him. I dig all the textures, the size, and the design.
However, there are a few quality issues people should be aware of.
First, and most egregious, the nose is for some unexplainable reason glued on rather than sewn. There’s no way this will last, so I’ll be taking a needle to it.
Second, there are raw fabric edges in the ear tufts because the manufacturers only folded the fur over rather than closed the patches.
Third, the thread sculpting uses black thread, so it’s very visible (I don’t care about this, but i know other people will).
And fourth, there’s left over embroidery stabilizer in the stomach and one paw that makes them crinkle. I will be doing bat surgery to save my sanity.
I can fix all of these things myself and intend to (except for the black sculpting thread; that’s way too annoying an effort my for how little I care about it), but I shouldn’t have to modify a plush I paid $65 + shipping for. I honestly can’t believe the nose is glued, like what? I thought it was factory error until I saw other reviews talking about it. Totally unacceptable, and I’d be so upset if I didn’t know how to fix it.
